The
Royal British Legion
is the Premier Ex
Service Organisation, formed in 1921. We care for the Welfare of the Ex Service
Community, there are some 650,000 members 800 Clubs and 3,600 branches World
wide.
The
Welfare of the Ex Service is our Primary concern. Whether it be helping with the
purchase of a Stair-lift, Motorised Scooter, Wheelchair for the disabled, or
maybe helping a family who find themselves in difficulty. Someone may need a
period of Convalescence after being ill: The Royal British Legion will be there
to help. We also help by giving advice on small business and sometimes
even loans to help get the business started,
Anyone
can join the Royal British Legion; there are two types of membership, the
Ordinary Member and the Associate Member
An
Ordinary member
is a
person who has attained the age of seventeen and a half years, and has
served in the Armed Forces i.e. The Royal Navy, The Army, or The Royal Air
Force, drawn at least 7 days pay and obtained an Honourable Discharge, this
includes National Service. The Reserve Forces must have obtained an Honourable
Discharge, served for at least six months and completed an Annual Camp. The Home
Guard, having served at least 6 months, and the Merchant Navy having served in
Hostile Waters.
An
Associate Member
is a
person who has not served in the Armed Forces but believes in the aims and
objects of the Royal British Legion, which is to care for the Ex Service
Community.

Open for lunch Wednesday -Sunday 12:00 - 2:00pm
Open for dinner Friday & Saturday 6:00 - 8:30pm (except bingo nights, check entertainment page for date)
Senior Citizens Special of the day (weekdays only)
Traditional Sunday Roasts (a choice of delicious home cooked roasts)

Michelle also caters for Parties, Business and Special Events. For enquiries and bookings call Michelle on 07934 596 854 or at the club during Kitchen opening times.
Function room available for meetings or receptions.
Live entertainment most Saturday's from 8pm. Guests will be charged
£1:00 entry on Saturday nights when there is live entertainment, (See
Entertainment page).
